Decorate chocolate cakes with cobweb-inspired glaze for a deliciously spooky Halloween treat.
Ingredients:
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried or maraschino cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Place paper liners in 12 regular-size muffin cups. Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs. Mix in chopped cherries. Spoon batter evenly into muffin cups.
  • Bake for 25 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the baked item to cool for 5 minutes, then remove it from the pan onto a cooling rack. Let it cool completely for about 30 minutes before serving.
  • Combine powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and milk in a medium bowl, stirring until you achieve a smooth and spreadable glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the cakes to create a cobweb design.
