German coconut macaroons with a meringue-like texture, perfect for holiday festivities.
Ingredients:
  • 2.75 cups flaked coconut, toasted
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and prepare cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.
  • Whip egg whites in a large bowl until stiff peaks form. Slowly add sugar, cinnamon, and almond extract while mixing on low speed. Gently fold in toasted coconut. Drop spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven until cookies are dry and easily peel off the paper. Cool on wire racks and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
