Elevate your dinner party with a flavorful coffee and cinnamon-crusted beef tenderloin topped with coffee beans and cinnamon sticks.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup finely ground espresso beans
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper
  • 2 (6 ounce) beef tenderloin steaks
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
Instructions:
  • Combine ground espresso beans, brown sugar, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Thoroughly coat each steak with the espresso mixture. Transfer steaks to a plate and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Warm up a big oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, then pour in some canola oil. Sear steaks in the hot oil until the bottoms are nicely browned, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Flip the steaks and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  • Bake the steaks in the oven until cooked to your preference, about 4 to 5 minutes for medium-rare. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach 140 degrees F (60 degrees C). Rest the steaks covered with foil for 5 minutes before serving.
