Global Easter tradition: Vibrant colored eggs unite cultures.
Ingredients:
  • 12 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 x pkt red egg dye powder*
  • 1.5L (6 cups) warm water
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) white vinegar
  • Olive oil, to grease
Instructions:
  • Boil salted water, gently stir in eggs with a wooden spoon for 8 minutes to center yolks, then drain.
  • In a large glass bowl, combine dye powder with 2 tablespoons of warm water; mix until dye dissolves. Stir in vinegar and the rest of the warm water. Submerge hard-boiled eggs in the dye mixture and let sit for 3 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer eggs to a plate and let them air dry for 40 minutes.
  • Use a paper towel to gently coat each egg with a touch of oil until they glisten.
