Condensed milk custard filo pie recipe

Whip up this irresistible pie in just 10 minutes for a show-stopping dessert that will leave everyone in awe.
Ingredients:
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 10 sheets filo pastry
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk
  • 250ml (1 cup) milk
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • Icing sugar, to dust
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced, then generously brush a 4.5cm-deep, 1.5L (6 cup) baking dish with melted butter.
  • Lay 1 pastry sheet on a clean surface. Cover the other sheets with clean towels. Brush the pastry with melted butter. Fold the pastry into a 2cm wide strip, then arrange around the dish's edge. Keep going towards the center, scrunching slightly to fit, until the dish is covered. Place dish on a baking tray and bake for 20 mins until golden and crispy.
  • In a jug, combine sweetened condensed milk, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Pour this delightful mixture over the pastry. Bake until set, about 20 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then serve warm, dusted with icing sugar.
