Quick and decadent cookie dough brownies made with a shortcut using Betty Crocker™ salted caramel brownie mix, refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough, and topped with Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting. Only 15 minutes to prep for a delicious, combined dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (18.4 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Salted Caramel Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or 325°F for a dark or nonstick pan) and grease a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. Set aside the caramel pouch from the brownie mix. In a large bowl, mix the brownie mix, water, oil, and egg until fully combined. Spread half of the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Tear cookie dough into small bits and scatter them evenly over the brownie batter in the pan. Gently press the dough into the batter. Knead the pouch of caramel from the brownie mix to soften, then snip off a 1/4-inch tip from the corner. Squeeze the caramel in between the cookie dough pieces until you've used it all. Finally, dollop the rest of the brownie batter over the caramel and cookie dough.
  • Bake for 34 to 38 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Cover with luscious chocolate frosting. Cut brownies into 48 delicious squares.
