Create quick and easy festive cookie wreaths using Betty Crocker mix, saving time for decorating and celebrating.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white vanilla baking chips (6 oz)
  • Assorted gel food colors*, if desired
  • Assorted candy sprinkles and candies, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, butter, egg, and flour in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms. Roll the dough into 24 (1 1/2-inch) balls and place them 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let cool for 3 minutes, then use a 1-inch round cookie cutter to remove the center of each cookie. Transfer the cookies from the sheet and let them cool completely for about 15 minutes.
  • Microwave white vanilla baking chips in a medium microwaveable bowl on High for about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth. Divide the melted chips into small bowls and stir in food color(s) as desired. Dip the top of each cookie wreath and cookie center into the melted chips, decorate with candy sprinkles, and place on a cooling rack until set, approximately 20 minutes. Store tightly covered.
