Fun and easy cornflake wreaths - a colorful treat for festive parties and creative kids!
Ingredients:
  • waxed paper
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon green food coloring, or as needed
  • 0.5 teaspoon almond extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups cornflakes cereal
  • 1 (2.25 ounce) package cinnamon red hot candies
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your delightful ingredients.
  • Prepare a baking tray by lining it with waxed paper.
  • Combine marshmallows and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes, stir, then microwave for an additional 2 minutes before stirring again.
  • Blend in vibrant coloring, aromatic almond extract, and fragrant vanilla essence until achieving the perfect hue; delicately fold in crispy cornflakes until fully coated.
  • Spoon the mixture onto the prepared tray and gently shape into wreaths using greased fingers; top each wreath with 3 red hots for decoration.
  • Let cookies cool and firm up for 15 minutes, then transfer to an airtight container for storage.
