Make quick and festive vanilla frosted wreath sugar cookies using pre-made dough.
Ingredients:
  • 1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 1/4 cups vanilla ready-to-spread frosting (from 16-oz can)
  • Green food color
  • Red food color
  • Small candies or colored sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Take out half of the cookie dough from the package and set aside the rest in the refrigerator. Slice the dough into 1/4-inch-thick pieces and place them 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Using a 3/4-inch cutter, create a hole in the center of each slice. Cut each removed piece in half to make 2 semicircles and place them on the dough ring to create bows. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  • Bake for 7 to 10 minutes until lightly golden. Allow to cool for 2 minutes, then transfer from the cookie sheet to wire racks. Let cool fully for about 15 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, blend 3/4 cup of frosting with green food coloring to reach your preferred shade of green. In another bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup of frosting with red food coloring until you achieve the desired pink color.
  • Cover the cooled wreaths in green frosting and the bows in pink frosting. Adorn with small candies.
