Rum-infused cinnamon-nutmeg braised apples, perfect with BBQ!
Ingredients:
- 7 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
- 0.25 cup spiced rum
Instructions:
- Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large saucepan. Add rum to the mixture and stir until apples are evenly coated and a thick sauce forms.
- Heat the apple mixture over medium heat until it boils, stirring often, until the apples are tender, approximately 20 minutes. Allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
