Crispy cornflake-coated beef patty, pan-fried to perfection. Enjoy plain with steak sauce or between a bun with toppings for a classic burger experience.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups crushed cornflakes, or more as needed
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.25 cup diced onion
  • 0.25 cup oil
Instructions:
  • Crack eggs into 2 small bowls and whisk them. Divide flour and crushed cornflakes into 2 separate shallow bowls.
  • Combine a beaten egg with ground beef, onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then shape into 3 uniform patties.
  • Coat each beef patty in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and finally completely coat with crushed cornflakes for a crispy finish.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sizzle burgers for 5 minutes. Flip and continue cooking to your preferred doneness, around 4 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer; center should register at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
