Savory bacon cornmeal waffles with creamy cheese sauce - perfect for brunch!
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 pound thinly sliced bacon
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf processed cheese, cubed
  • 0.25 cup milk, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Heat up your waffle iron.
  • Combine eggs, milk, and oil in a small bowl. In a larger bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in the milk mixture. Stir until fully combined.
  • Ladle 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot waffle iron and evenly distribute. Lay a strip of raw bacon over the batter in each waffle section. Close the lid and cook until the waffle is golden brown and no steam is visible.
  • Create a luscious cheese sauce by melting processed cheese in the microwave, then gently blending in milk until it reaches your perfect consistency. Finish by drizzling this savory sauce over your waffles for an indulgent touch.
