Tangy vinaigrette tossed with red leaf lettuce, candied almonds, cranberries, apple, avocado, and blue cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 head red leaf lettuce, torn
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 avocado - peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries
  • 0.25 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • In a small skillet over medium-low heat, caramelize almonds with 1 tablespoon of sugar until golden brown, ensuring not to burn them. Let cool before serving.
  • Combine the lettuce, green onions, apple, avocado, dried cranberries, blue cheese, and cooked almonds in a spacious salad bowl.
  • In a bowl, combine vinegar, 2 teaspoons of sugar, salt, pepper, and vegetable oil. Pour over salad and toss gently to mix.
