Velvety vanilla custard sauce, perfect for drizzling, made simply with cream and egg yolks.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 0.33000001311302 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your fresh and flavorful ingredients.
  • In a small heavy saucepan over medium heat, heat the cream and vanilla until bubbles start to form at the edges.
  • Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl until smooth while heating the cream mixture.
  • Whisk continuously as you gently incorporate 1/2 cup of hot cream into the egg yolk mixture. Slowly pour the combined mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining cream, while whisking consistently. Cook and stir the mixture until it coats the back of a spoon.
