Whip up a delectable warm crab dip using canned crab, cream cheese, and onion, perfect for a crowd-pleasing party appetizer when served in a cozy bread bowl.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained and flaked
  • 11 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 0.125 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf round, crusty Italian bread
Instructions:
  • Collect all ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together crabmeat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a 1-quart baking dish and spread evenly.
  • After baking for 20 minutes, cut a circle in the top of the bread and hollow it out to make a bread bowl. Tear the scooped-out bread into pieces for dipping.
  • Combine the baked crab dip and transfer it into a hollowed-out bread bowl. Place the filled bread bowl and bread chunks on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Serve piping hot.
