Festive cranberry gel candies coated in white sugar, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, or as needed
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (16 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 3 (3 ounce) packages raspberry-flavored Jell-O® mix
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup white sugar for rolling
Instructions:
  • Prepare an 8x8-inch pan by lining it with waxed paper and then generously coating it with vegetable oil.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup sugar with jellied cranberry sauce and raspberry Jell-O® mix until sugar and gelatin have dissolved. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 20 minutes, stirring regularly. Fold walnuts into the mixture to make the candy.
  • Spread the candy evenly in the prepared pan and allow it to cool at room temperature overnight. Cut the candy into squares, coat them with sugar, and place on waxed paper to set.
