Elevate breakfast with steel-cut oats and cranberries for a gourmet twist on traditional oatmeal.
Ingredients:
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 cups steel-cut oats
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil plenty of water in a large pot. Add oats and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and stir well.
  • Simmer oats on low heat until they begin to soften, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Whisk together milk, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until smooth. Stir the mixture into the oats and cook until tender, 10-15 minutes.
  • Gently fold in cranberries until they are evenly mixed in with the oatmeal; cook just until the berries are heated through, about 2 to 3 minutes.
