Cranberry and fig fruit mince recipe

Make-ahead fruit mince, ideal for holiday prep - lasts up to 2 months.
Ingredients:
  • 170.00 gm sultanas
  • 250.00 ml dried figs, finely chopped
  • 125.00 ml dried pitted prunes, finely chopped
  • 125.00 ml currants
  • 125.00 ml dried cranberries
  • 2 tsp finely grated orange rind
  • 125.00 ml tawny fortified wine
  • 3.75 gm mixed spice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 118.80 gm dark brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Combine all ingredients in an airtight container. Secure the lid and store in a cool, dark place for at least 1 week, stirring every 2 days to enhance flavors.
