Elevate your rice dressing with flavorful crawfish tails and zesty Creole seasoning.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 0.75 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 pounds frozen peeled crawfish tails, thawed
  • 1 cup toasted, chopped pecans
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Creole seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
  • Bring water in a medium saucepan to a boil. Add rice. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef with onion, celery, green and red bell peppers, and garlic until beef is browned and vegetables are tender.
  • Mix the cooked rice, crawfish tails, pecans, butter, and green onions into the ground beef. Season with Creole seasoning and pepper. Cook for about 3 minutes until well combined. Then, transfer the mixture to the baking dish.
  • Bake until lightly browned in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
