Irresistible creamy Cajun crawfish fettuccine.
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 pound peeled crawfish tails
  • 1 (8 ounce) package processed cheese food
  • 1 cup half-and-half cream
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 pound dry fettuccine pasta
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it sizzles. Sauté the onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic in the butter until the onions become tender. Sprinkle in the flour and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Gently fold in the crawfish. Cover and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the velvety processed cheese, creamy half-and-half, flavorful Cajun seasonings, and a hint of spicy cayenne pepper. Cover and let simmer for approximately 20 minutes, giving it an occasional stir.
  • In a large pot, simmer salted water until boiling. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until al dente. Drain the pasta.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Mix the noodles with the flavorful crawfish blend before transferring it to the dish. Finally, top it off with a generous sprinkling of Parmesan cheese before baking.
  • Place in a hot oven and bake for 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
