Elevate frozen corn with homemade creamy Parmesan sauce for a gourmet twist on traditional creamed corn.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen corn kernels, thawed
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter with corn, heavy cream, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir occasionally until the butter is fully melted, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Whisk milk and flour in a small bowl until well combined.
  • Pour the milky mixture into the skillet, cook while stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and the corn is fully cooked, approximately 4 minutes.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and gently fold in Parmesan cheese until it is melted. Serve the dish while it's still hot.
