Creamy homemade tomato soup that's simply comforting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 quart tomato juice
  • 2 cups milk
Instructions:
  • Saute onions in butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat until translucent. Remove from heat. Stir in flour until smooth, then gradually whisk in tomato juice. Return to heat, season with salt, and bring to a gentle boil. Remove from heat just before boiling. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then gently mix in milk. Serve promptly.
