Creamy Alfredo sauce made with milk, Parmesan cheese, and garlic - a versatile and delicious sauce for pasta, shrimp, or chicken.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter, or more to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (such as Kraft®)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter until fragrant and golden, then sauté garlic until aromatic and rich in color, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Lower the heat to medium and gently incorporate the flour until a smooth mixture forms, which should take about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Add a generous amount of freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce reaches a delightful thick consistency, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Gradually pour in milk, stirring continuously, until mixture is velvety and well-combined, for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with fragrant Italian seasoning, a hint of salt, and a crack of pepper. Simmer and continuously stir until the sauce thickens to your liking, usually within 5 to 10 minutes.
