Classic potato bake: layers of buttery potatoes and onions, baked until crispy on top.
Ingredients:
  • 6 potatoes, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
  • 0.5 cup onion, chopped
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1 pinch paprika, or to taste
Instructions:
  • - Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and generously grease a 1-quart casserole dish.
  • Layer 1/3 of the potatoes in the dish. Combine flour and salt, then sprinkle 1/3 over the potatoes. Dot with 1/3 of the butter and sprinkle 1/3 of the onion. Repeat layering two more times.
  • Pour the milk gently over the potato mixture in the casserole dish, then generously sprinkle paprika over the top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the top is beautifully golden, approximately 1 hour.
