Indulgent blueberry apple pie with sweet fruit filling and a crunchy crumb topping.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for a perfect cooking environment.
  • Combine the apples and blueberries in the pie crust, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  • Combine 1/4 cup of flour with white sugar, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl. Add yogurt, egg, and vanilla extract; pour the batter over the apples and blueberries.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of flour, pecans, oats, and brown sugar. Use a knife or pastry blender to cut in the butter until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Set aside.
  • 1. Preheat the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Lower the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake until the pie crust is lightly browned, approximately 30 minutes more. Sprinkle the crumb mixture on top, bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool before serving.
