Creamy mashed celery root with tangy sour cream and aromatic dill is a flavorful and unique side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds celeriac (celery root), peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 0.25 cup sour cream, or more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried dill weed, or more to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, submerge the celeriac in salted water, bring to a boil, then simmer over medium-low heat until tender, approximately 20 minutes. Drain and transfer to a spacious bowl.
  • Combine celeriac, sour cream, and dill in a large bowl, using a potato masher to blend until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
