Creamy garlic white wine sauce with shrimp, spinach, and Creole seasoning tossed in pasta - a fancy yet simple dish for entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package angel hair pasta
  • 6 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh garlic
  • 1.5 pounds frozen cooked shrimp, tails removed
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1.5 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (9 ounce) package fresh baby spinach with carrots
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions:
  • Boil a large pot of lightly salted water. Add angel hair pasta and cook until al dente, about 4 to 5 minutes. Drain the pasta.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter until sizzling. Sauté green onions and garlic in the fragrant butter for about 2 minutes until softened. Toss in frozen shrimp, stirring occasionally until completely thawed, approximately 5 minutes. Transfer the succulent shrimp to a bowl.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together wine and cornstarch until smooth. Pour this mixture over green onions and garlic in the skillet. Stir in heavy cream, lime juice, Creole seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp back to the skillet, then mix in the spinach and basil. Cook and stir until the shrimp is heated through and the spinach is wilted, approximately 5 minutes. Serve the flavorful mixture over angel hair pasta.
