Cupcake Bath Fizz

Create delightful orange bath fizz cupcakes in muffin cups for a relaxing and aromatic party favor.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups baking soda
  • 1 cup citric acid
  • 2 drops orange essential oil
  • Witch hazel in spray bottle mixed with 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3 to 4 drops orange essential oil
Instructions:
  • Line 12 mini muffin cups with paper baking cups. In a large bowl, combine baking soda and citric acid, then add 2 drops of orange essential oil. Using a spray bottle, spritz witch hazel over the mixture until it easily sticks together.
  • Distribute mixture evenly into muffin cups and firmly press down. Allow to dry for 1 to 2 hours.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the meringue powder with warm water. Add powdered sugar and cream of tartar. Whip with an electric mixer on medium speed for 5 minutes until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in 3 to 4 drops of orange essential oil.
  • Transfer the mixture into a decorating bag with your chosen tip (or a resealable bag with a small corner snipped off); pipe the "frosting" onto the bath fizz "cupcakes". Allow to dry before packaging.
