Indulgent whole wheat chocolate chip cookies with Greek yogurt, dark and semisweet chocolate, and crunchy walnuts.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 1.75 cups cake flour
  • 1.25 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine brown sugar, butter, and yogurt in a bowl and mix until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • First, dissolve baking soda in hot water and incorporate it into the batter. Then, gently mix in cake flour, whole wheat flour, and salt, being cautious not to overmix. Finally, fold in dark chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, and walnuts.
  • Scoop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving 2 inches of space between each spoonful.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden around the edges, for about 10 to 12 minutes. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
