Indulgent chocolate mousse desserts that combine your coffee and chocolate cravings in a single, delightful treat. Ideal for post-dinner enjoyment.
Ingredients:
  • 250g dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 80mls (1/3 cup) freshly made strong black coffee
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 185mls (3/4 cup) thickened cream
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine the chocolate and coffee. Let it sit for 1 minute, then stir until the chocolate is fully melted.
  • Combine egg yolks using a wooden spoon until mixed. Whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Sprinkle caster sugar over and whisk until thick and glossy.
  • Gently mix a generous spoonful of the fluffy egg whites into the chocolate mixture, followed by gently folding in the rest of the egg white mixture.
  • Whip the cream until soft peaks form, then gently mix it into the chocolate mixture until fully incorporated. Transfer the mousse into a large serving dish or 6 individual serving dishes or glasses.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours, covered with plastic wrap, before serving.
