Succulent oven-baked venison jerky marinated in soy sauce, Worcestershire, and liquid smoke for a flavor-packed snack.
Ingredients:
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 pound boneless venison roast
Instructions:
  • In a large resealable plastic bag, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion salt; set aside.
  • Cut the venison into 1-inch wide and 1/8-inch thick strips. Place the strips in a marinade-filled bag and seal it. Refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight, gently massaging the bag from time to time to ensure even marination.
  • Preheat your oven to a low 160°F (70°C) and place a pan or aluminum foil on the oven floor to catch any drippings.
  • Take the venison out of the marinade and gently shake off any extra liquid.
  • Lay out the venison on a wire rack in a single layer and let it dehydrate in the preheated oven until reaching your preferred texture, which should take 6 to 8 hours.
