Curry and soy marinated deer jerky, perfect for camping or snacking on the move.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds lean venison, cut into thin strips
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer (such as Budweiser®)
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper, or more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions:
  • Trimming all excess fat and gristle from the venison.
  • Combine venison with beer, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic, curry powder, black pepper, and ginger in a stainless steel bowl. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
  • Take out the venison from the marinade and gently shake off any extra marinade. Dispose of the rest of the marinade.
  • Arrange the meat evenly on the dehydrator racks to ensure proper air circulation.
  • Dehydrate for 6 to 8 hours, or until reached desired consistency based on appliance instructions.
