Root beer marinated pork chops glazed with a savory reduction on the grill for a delicious main course.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (1-inch thick) pork chops
  • 3 (12 fluid ounce) cans or bottles root beer
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon chipotle-flavored hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
Instructions:
  • In a dish, lay the pork chops and generously pour 2 cans of root beer over them. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours. Remove the pork chops from the marinade and season with salt and pepper.
  • Simmer the last can of root beer with beef stock, brown sugar, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until it reduces to about 3/4 cup. Set aside.
  • Start up the outdoor grill to achieve that perfect medium-high heat, then give the grate a nice light coating of oil.
  • Achieve juicy perfection by grilling the pork chops on the preheated grill, cooking each side for about 8 minutes until they are no longer pink in the center. Ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) by using an instant-read thermometer. Enhance the flavor by generously brushing the chops with the reduction sauce and cooking for an additional 2 minutes per side. Finish by brushing with any remaining sauce and season with salt to taste before serving.
