Decadent root beer cocoa brownies with glaze - perfect for your fall menu!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened Dutch processed baking cocoa
  • 1 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon root beer extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons root beer
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F and generously coat an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
  • Microwave butter and chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl on High for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute until melted and smooth. Add flour mixture, eggs, and root beer extract, then pour batter into pan.
  • Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out nearly clean. Let it cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack for approximately 1 hour.
  • Combine powdered sugar, remaining 1/4 cup cocoa, and root beer in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth and pour the glaze over the brownies. Cut into 4x4 squares. Enjoy!
