Elevate mashed potatoes with impressive Duchess potato rosettes for a visually stunning dish upgrade.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound baking potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, add potatoes and cover with salted water. Bring to a boil, then simmer on medium-low heat until tender, around 20 minutes. Drain the potatoes.
  • Transfer the potatoes into a spacious bowl and mash them with a fork or masher. Next, swiftly mix in the egg yolks, 2 tablespoons of butter, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk until everything is well combined, then let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Prepare a piping bag with a large star tip. Fill it with the potato mixture and pipe golf ball-sized rosettes onto the baking sheet. Gently brush them with the remaining butter.
  • Broil under the preheated broiler until golden brown and heated through, about 3 to 5 minutes. Keep warm before serving.
