Delicious baked casserole made with layered grated potatoes, herbs, spices, sour cream, milk, and cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 5 large potatoes
  • 0.375 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded processed cheese
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil generously salted water in a large pot. Cook potatoes until tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Begin by preheating your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • Grate the cooked potatoes into a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. In another small bowl, mix the sour cream and milk.
  • Create a base layer with half of the potatoes in the casserole dish. Season with half of the butter-spice mix and pour half of the sour cream-milk blend on top. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of processed cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  • Place in the hot oven and bake for 1 hour.
