Upgrade your burger game with a deluxe steak burger, perfect for your next Sunday BBQ.
Ingredients:
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4 x 120g beef scotch fillet steaks, trimmed
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • 4 rashers short-cut rindless bacon
  • 4 bread rolls, halved
  • 4 slices swiss cheese
  • 50g mixed salad leaves
  • 250.00 ml beetroot relish (see notes)
Instructions:
  • Preheat barbecue plate over medium-high heat. Mix mayonnaise and garlic in a bowl, then chill covered in the refrigerator.
  • Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper to enhance their flavor. Lightly coat both sides of the steaks with oil for a perfect sear. Grill the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes on each side for a medium cook or until they reach your preferred doneness. Rest the steaks on a plate, covering them loosely with foil to keep them juicy. Allow the steaks to rest for optimal tenderness before serving.
  • Place the bacon on the barbecue plate and cook until crisp, about 2 minutes on each side.
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat. Top the cut side of bread roll tops with cheese and grill for 2 minutes until melted.
  • Spread the irresistible garlic mayonnaise on the bread roll bases. Layer with vibrant salad leaves, savory steaks, crispy bacon, and tangy beetroot relish. Crown with the bread roll tops for the ultimate sandwich experience. Enjoy your delicious creation!
