Upgrade your chicken divan casserole with curry, red pepper, and crispy fried onions for a delicious twist on the classic dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups cooked, cubed chicken breast meat
  • 1 pound fresh broccoli, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tablespoons curry powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic salt
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2.5 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (6 ounce) can French-fried onions
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) before arranging the chicken in a 9x13-inch baking dish and topping it with broccoli.
  • Combine mayonnaise, curry powder, cayenne pepper, garlic salt, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix well. Add Cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, and cream of mushroom soup. Mix again. Pour mixture over chicken and broccoli. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and top with onions.
  • Place the dish in the hot oven for 30 minutes.
