Succulent sausage and flaky puff pastry unite effortlessly in this delightful, party-ready creation using a Kmart sausage roll maker.
Ingredients:
  • 200g savoy cabbage, shredded
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 stick celery, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 sheets puff pastry, partially thawed, halved
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Sweet and sour sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine mince, cabbage, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and oil in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper; use your hands to mix thoroughly.
  • Lay a piece of pastry on a board. Brush the edges with egg wash. Spread 1/3 cup of the mixture along one long side of the pastry. Roll it up to seal the filling inside. Repeat this process with the rest of the pastry and filling. Finally, brush the rolls with more egg wash.
  • Preheat sausage roll maker. Cook rolls in batches until golden brown and fully cooked, about 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer to a plate and serve with sweet and sour sauce.
