Savor slow-cooked spaghetti sauce with beef, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and garlic. Perfect for a pasta feast!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 15 fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 5 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound spaghetti
Instructions:
  • Sear the beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked; dice any large pieces and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, effortlessly blend whole tomatoes and paste until velvety. Cover and simmer on low heat.
  • Sear onion and celery until transparent in a large skillet over medium heat. Add them to the tomato sauce in the saucepan. Sauté bell peppers and mushrooms in the same skillet for a few minutes until slightly tender. Add them to the tomato sauce.
  • Enhance the flavor of the tomato sauce by mixing in Italian seasoning, dried red pepper flakes, bay leaves, basil, and garlic. Add the beef and combine well. Uncover and let simmer on low heat for the whole day, stirring occasionally for a rich and delightful sauce.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil with a pinch of salt. Cook pasta until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes, then drain.
  • Toss pasta in delicious sauce and enjoy!
