Whip up a flavorful and healthy cereal to jumpstart your day. Store in an airtight container for up to four weeks. Get creative with serving ideas!
Ingredients:
  • 100 g dried fruit, such as sultanas, raisins, dried apricots
  • 50 g mixed unsalted nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts
  • 50 g mixed seeds, such as pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, poppy
  • 400 g porridge oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
  • milk or natural yoghurt to serve
  • 1 eating apple
  • roughly 400 ml milk
Instructions:
  • Prepare the basic cereal by chopping larger dried fruit and nuts, and combine with seeds, oats, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Transfer to an airtight container. For serving, portion approximately 50g of cereal per person into bowls, then add milk or yogurt and fresh fruit, if desired. To make bircher muesli for 4, combine 200g of the cereal with grated apple, milk, and mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Stir well before serving with fresh fruit, if desired.
