Ingredients:
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Dash salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, cream together brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy using an electric mixer or a spoon. Mix in vanilla and egg white.
  • Mix together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8 to 9 minutes until just set (avoid overbaking). Let cool for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire rack.
