Indulgent chocolate cookies with candy cane kiss topping, offering a festive minty flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 48 white chocolate kisses with candy cane stripes
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat butter for 30 seconds. Add sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda; continue beating until well mixed. Stir in eggs, melted chocolate, and vanilla extract. Slowly incorporate flour and cocoa powder until fully combined.
  • Spoon dollops of dough, spaced 2 inches apart, onto the baking sheets.
  • Bake in the oven until edges start to firm up, for about 7 minutes. Take out from the oven and place 1 white chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie, gently pressing down. Bake for an additional minute. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
