Elevate your Toll House® cookies with rich cocoa powder for an indulgent family favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup shortening
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, or more to taste
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, blend white sugar, brown sugar, butter, shortening, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently mix sugar mixture into flour mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Drop generous spoonfuls of batter, measuring 1 to 2 tablespoons each, onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes until they are beautifully browned. Let them cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before enjoying.
