Double Frosted Bisquick Brownies

Indulge in a decadent double frosted brownie created with Bisquick® Original baking mix.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Bisquick™ Original baking mix
  • 1/4 cup margarine, butter or spread,* softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine, butter or spread,* softened
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease and flour a 13x9x2-inch rectangular pan. In a medium bowl, combine granulated sugar, baking mix, 1/4 cup margarine, 2 teaspoons vanilla, 4 squares melted chocolate, and eggs until well mixed. Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the edges start to pull away. Allow it to cool before serving.
  • Combine powdered sugar, 1/2 cup margarine, milk, and 2 teaspoons vanilla in a medium bowl until the mixture is smooth. Spread this frosting over the brownies and refrigerate until firm. Melt 3 squares of chocolate over low heat, then cool slightly. Drizzle the melted chocolate evenly over the frosted brownies. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set. Cut the brownies into approximately 1 1/2x1-inch squares. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
