Decadent chocolate treats perfect for gifting.
Ingredients:
  • 150g butter, chopped
  • 300g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 225.00 gm firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 8.80 gm vanilla extract
  • 250.00 ml plain flour
  • 155.10 gm sour cream
  • 86.25 gm walnuts, toasted, chopped
  • 2 x 30g Flake chocolate bars, cut into 1.5cm pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced) and generously grease a 20cm x 30cm lamington pan. Line the pan with baking paper, leaving a 3cm overhang on both long ends for easy removal later.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate together until smooth, stirring constantly for 3 to 4 minutes. Mix in the sugar, then transfer the mixture to a large bowl and let it stand for 15 minutes.
  • Slowly incorporate the eggs into the mixture. Add vanilla, flour, cream, and 1/2 cup of walnuts. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Gently press a Flake bar into the mixture and sprinkle the remaining walnuts on top. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs attached. Allow to cool in the pan before serving.
