Enhance Betty's Caramel-Pecan Chocolate Dessert by swapping water for coffee, creating a delectable mocha brownie. Replace the caramel with dulce de leche, top with pecans, and serve with whipped cream for a coffee-infused treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup dulce de leche
  • 1 cup broken pecans
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and generously coat a 10-inch springform pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Combine hot water and coffee granules (or espresso) in a small bowl, stirring until fully dissolved.
  • Combine brownie mix, coffee mixture, oil, and 2 eggs in a medium bowl until smooth. Mix in chocolate chips and spread the batter in the pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes until the center is puffed and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • Loosen brownie with a metal spatula, remove pan sides, then transfer to a serving plate. Evenly spread dulce de leche over the brownie and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Chill a small bowl and whip 3/4 cup of whipping cream with powdered sugar using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Spoon fluffy dollops of whipped cream around the dessert's edge. Cut into wedges and refrigerate covered until serving.
