Easter bunny house: a whimsical and eye-catching dessert centerpiece for your Easter celebration.
Ingredients:
  • Sprinkles, to decorate
  • 290g pkt Nestlé Bakers' Choice White Choc Melts
  • 6 x 170g blocks Nestlé KitKat Gold
  • 12 x musk sticks
  • 14 x small speckled chocolate eggs, plus extra, to decorate
  • 32 assorted Nestlé Smarties
  • 180g pkt white chocolate
  • 1 jelly snake, cut in half lengthways
  • 5 Lifesavers Musk, cut in half
  • 6 chocolate freckles, plus extra, to decorate
  • 2 x 29g KitKat bunnies
  • Desiccated coconut, to decorate
  • Green liquid food colouring, to tint
  • Marshmallow bunnies, to decorate
  • Mini flower edible cake decorations, to decorate
Instructions:
  • In a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, melt the white chocolate melts, making sure the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir with a metal spoon until smooth. Let cool slightly before using.
  • Trim two KitKat bars to create the front and back walls with 10cm gables.
  • Melt chocolate on the base and edges of one KitKat block. Stand upright on a round cake board to set. Melt chocolate on long and short sides of a second KitKat block, attach to the first one to form a side wall. Repeat with another KitKat block to make the other side wall, then attach the back wall. Cover the edges of the remaining KitKat blocks with melted chocolate, secure on the sides to form the roof. Allow to set.
  • Secure musk sticks to house seams using more melts, except along the top of the roof, trimming as needed. Fill a piping bag with the remaining melts using a small plain nozzle. Pipe a line of melts along the roof seam and place speckled eggs on top. Set aside 10 Smarties. Pipe melts along both roof eaves and decorate with the reserved Smarties.
  • Cut 1 rectangle of 2 squares from white chocolate and then cut in half lengthwise. Pipe 2 lines of melts on 1 side wall and attach the white chocolate pieces to create a window. Pipe vertical lines between the pieces to form the window frame. Secure 3 reserved Smarties below the bottom piece and half of a jelly snake to the top of the bottom piece, trimming to fit. Attach 3 Life Saver halves along the top edge of the top piece. Repeat the process with more white chocolate, Smarties, the remaining snake, and more Life Savers to create a window on the opposite side wall, using the picture as a guide.
  • Cut 2 rectangles with 4 squares each from the leftover white chocolate. Attach them to the front and back walls to form doors, then affix 1 Smartie to each door. Place the remaining Life Savers and Smarties on top of each door. Use the Freckles to adorn the walls.
  • Fill the KitKat Bunny ears with melted chocolate and sprinkle with colorful sprinkles. Allow them to set before moving on.
  • 1. In a large sealable plastic bag, combine coconut with a few drops of food coloring. Shake the bag vigorously until the coconut is evenly colored. 2. Sprinkle the colored coconut over a serving board. 3. Decorate the board with KitKat and marshmallow bunnies, flowers, additional speckled eggs, and freckles.
