Transform Easter candy into irresistible sugar cookies that kids will devour!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup butter-flavored shortening
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped Easter candy, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, blend shortening and sugars until creamy. Incorporate egg, milk, and vanilla extract; beat until smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Blend this mixture into the sugar mixture until fully incorporated. Gently fold in the chopped candies.
  • Spoon dough onto prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake until edges turn a lovely light golden brown, approximately 11 minutes in the preheated oven.
