Create mini chocolate cakes for toy ovens using cocoa instead of lemonade mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened lemonade drink mix
  • 0.33329999446869 cup shortening
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, and lemonade drink mix in a medium bowl. Stir well until blended. Using a fork or pastry blender, cut in shortening until mixture resembles cornmeal.
  • Divide the mixture into 10 small containers or sealable plastic bags, each containing about 1/3 cup. Label and store in a cool, dry place, and use within 12 weeks.
  • Preheat your Easy Bake oven while you prepare a 4-inch miniature cake pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Pour the contents of one cake mix packet into a small bowl. Stir in 4 teaspoons of water using a fork until the batter is smooth.
  • Follow the baking guidelines provided by the manufacturer.
